The White Shul, officially Congregation Kneseth Israel (Hebrew: ק׳׳ק כנסת ישראל), is an OrthodoxJewish assemblage and synagogue located in Distance off Rockaway, in Queens, New Royalty City, New York, United States.[2] The congregation was established operate 1922 as Talmud Torah Kneseth Israel and was nicknamed "The White Shul" after its milky marble building.

History

Congregation Kneseth Israel, a 1922-founded Orthodox assemblage, initially prayed in the Great Rockaway Chamber of Commerce capital on Mott Avenue.[4] When primacy members of the 1911-built Church Israel synagogue,[5] located at Metropolis Avenue and State Street (the names were later changed be familiar with Nameoke Street and Dinsmore Avenue) moved in 1930 to their new quarters on Central Feed in Lawrence, they sold their old building to Congregation Kneseth Israel.
